Fritzi has experienced and survived her first snow with us. We were not sure she would still want to go for her nightly walk but she did. Our older 13 1/2 year old Sophie put her brakes on and said take me home. Now Fritzi will probably snuggle up with my husband or me before we head to bed. This may be our last weekend with her. She has people interested in her. I am happy for that, but sad she won't be with us anymore. That is what a foster home is all about. I will attach a picture I have not shared yet in case anyone is following.

So what can I come up with that is new? Not much, I don't think. Miss Fritzi has made herself at home here. I am sure she will do that wherever she ends up. She is silly, outgoing and a real sweetie. Her hair is growing in nicely. She had scratched and chewed at herself so bad from the fleas in Alabama. Skin was red and raw, now no evidence of that. She even loosened up three teeth from gnawing at her long matted hair poor girl. Those 3 have been extracted. She eats well and I think is at a good weight at 7 pounds. I had her poop checked at the vet and is free of parasites and worms. Not unusual for these dogs to come up with a variety of "nasty" bugs. It is all treatable. We walk every day and she enjoys that alot. Will gladly say hello to people and dogs we meet on the way. She is waiting for that special person out there. Welcome to hang out with us till that time comes but finding her forever home is the goal. Are you my person???

I just can't figure out how to get new pictures on here. Oh well. Almost a month with our pint sized dynamo. She really fits a lot of personality in a SMALL package. We have gone out to the pet stores a few times and she gets lots off pets and attention. Loves it. We took a trip to the small dog area of a local dog park and again, she said hello to all the people and dogs and made friends. There were 2 that were 30 lbs., young and wild in there. Those she did not like only because they were running into her. Ouch. She can run so fast! The little legs are just a blur. Even being a small dog area she could get out of the fence so I just kept her attention on me. On the way home I stopped at our banks drive through. This was the first time I took her but from her reaction and lip licking, she knew what was coming. Yup a doggie treat. I do believe she was treated very well for a long time and then...? Something in her owners life changed. All good again and waiting for her new person/p...

It has been a week since we jumped back into fostering after 2 yrs. Something about this friendly little girl Fritzi made me bring her home. She has blended into our home very well and gets along fine with our 3 dogs. I would say she has great manners in the house. No chewing and only wet in her crate the first time we closed her in when we left the house. No potties on our floors at all. She does not like being left alone though and will protest bark. Seems to be getting less. She quietly sleeps in another room all night long in her crate and is quiet then.
