Happy Day! Fluffy is off her crate and short leash restriction. Why? Well our active little squirt was racing around before the nightly walk. I leashed the 3 dogs up and went for a walk. During the whole time she never acted any different. When I opened up the gate at home our male dog went right to these numerous blood spots. BLOOD-fresh BLOOD. Not my thing! So I saw it was Fluffy's back left foot. Washed it up and saw she pulled the nail off leaving the quick. OK that made me woozy. It was too late to send a frantic SOS to Lori who runs the rescue. So I had to put my "big girl" panties on and handle it. No feinting allowed as my husband was still at work.

We all lived. Put the Quick Stop on and all was well. Till a day or two later when she acted in pain. We took her to the vet, no infection so good, but gave us anti-inflammatory and the resting directions. Was harder on us than her I think.

She is back to normal. We probably over reacted by going to the vet. When you have these sweeties in your care you want to do what is best though.

Here she is with my husband, Brian. He claims she loves him more than me. Not sure. She most likely is going to take a bit to warm up with her new people. But...then she is awesome, a real lover.
Fluffy with her buddy Brian.
