Well Roxie came out of the groomer looking like a DOLL! She is just so cute. I was told she was very well behaved, not sure if that was true because brushing at home is not her favorite thing to do. Thanks to A Green Dog Grooming on 27th st in Oak Creek for a job well done.  The first thing the groomer said was a Pomeranian mix. That is what I think too. Someone needs a nap now.

Yes! We have finally got little Miss Roxie going on a thyroid prescription. It is called Thyro Tabs. It runs $21.60 a month. In 3 days both myself and my husband think we see positive changes in her energy levels. Just in time for our warmer than normal temperatures and getting more outside activity.   Here she is in her long hair look. I like it like this but plan on getting her shaved down soon again. That is easier to keep brushed.  She is just patiently hanging out at our place waiting for that right fit. It is out there. I cannot be the only person willing to love this little "puff-ball".

So here it is Valentines Day and no one has taken Roxie home to love. Sort of makes me sad. She is not sad though because she is happy here with us waiting for that certain someone. We do not think she is only 4 years old. That was the information given when she was taken to the Alabama shelter. Between the vets that have seen her up here and her groomer, they would guess an older gal of 8 years+. So that probably explains the fact that some of her health changes are what are seen with mature dogs. The heart murmur, urinalysis shows early renal concerns, and a low thyroid. So watching her diet and getting her on thyroid medication are what is needed presently. She is the sweetest dog and as we start the thyroid medication we are planning on her getting more energy. Hope that will be a good change. We are kind of used to low-energy Roxie at this point.

Miss Roxie takes after her foster mommy. She really does not like having her picture taken. So I have two shots of her turning away and one in the middle with such sad eyes. Such a goofy gal.

Here we go heading out for a winter walk. This was on New Years Day when it was warmer.

A Christmas gift to myself. Doggie flannel sheets. Roxie is showing herself off on them. She is such a cute, soft, non-shedding fluffy dog. A relative who has had Pugs agreed with me that her body shape is Pug-like. The nose is pointy but she still does some snorty sounds like a Pug. So the fluffy part? Hmm, maybe Pomeranian? Just guessing. Whatever she is it is sweet and loyal and oh so snuggly. We do LOVE her lots over here and are so glad to be able to spend time with her as our little guest.
