Roxie or Roxanne? I usually go with the second, it just fits her better. I just love this little girl. If I take her out and about with me she is a charmer. Likes everyone we meet.
Today I took her for a groom with Heidi from PAC Grooming in Hartland,(414-531-3174 if you are looking for a groomer). She did just great I was told, even with her nails. I have to get used to the short look but her hair will grow out again if you prefer it longer. My husband says he liked her mop top. She met and hung out with two other dogs while there and was fine with them. We came home and she was so tired a nap was in order. Patton (a Fluffy Dog alumni) laid down with her. Guess he likes her new look and just bathed smell. Heidi uses some essential oil blends, smells good.
Last weekend we went to watch a friend run her dogs in a lure coursing trial. Again Roxie was little Miss Sociable. Barked a bit at first but the dogs there were all ramped up getting ready to run. She said hi to a few dogs and different people there also. Same story a real good girl. Making her foster mommy so PROUD!
I heard there is someone interested in her. Hi "someone" if you are reading. Yes a vet heard a heart murmur on her. Thought it to be a class 3-4 grade. Lori who runs the rescue will have a specialist do an exam and ultrasound for more definitive info. Would I adopt with this? Well I at this point do not really know what it all may mean. I would say this, she is a sweet dog. Low key but too funny with her little antics. Is it worth having her in your life even if say at the worse she could have a shorter life? I would say yes. My first adopted dog lived only 8 months with us before he died. Best of times with him especially because it was so short. Hopefully the diagnosis won't be grim at all. Cross your fingers.
