Berry has a new summer theme song...Girls Just Want to Have FUN!  She is really coming into her normal self. It is a silly, playful, goofy self with some puppy type antics thrown in. She for sure was a baby having babies.  She has an application (again) so may be leaving us soon. She has had interest before. For one person she was too small and the next couple she was too big. So new forever family we hope she is JUST RIGHT for you! The family has two cats, we have none. So I took her to the Oak Creek Petco where they showcase a few cats for adoption. They are in enclosures so a safe way to see what she would do. Well, she turned her head away when I held her up and would not look at Mr. Kitty-Cat there. His notes said good with dogs so I do not feel I traumatized him. What was so dear though is she had her paw on the glass more to push away I think and he placed his little paw right up there by hers,aw.  Kind of like in the visiting section of a jail. I see that on TV, no personal e

Berry is a good rider in the car. She prefers the front passenger seat, I prefer my dogs in a crate in the back of my SUV. She does both quietly. Are we there yet???

Strawberry in her hidden shady spot outside. See those gorgeous eyes. When hot, her and my male(also a rescue) find a shady spot under a shrub and hunker down. When hot my Sophie(always a "pampered" dog) stands by the door and seems to say"open up and let me in by the air-conditioning". I think the two rescues must of just spent more time outside and needed to be resourceful. She also is very comfortable in the house and hangs out nearby as I sit and spend too much time on this computer. I weighed her today and slowly the weight is coming on. Now up to 16 pounds. Has a few more to put on till filled out completely.

OK I could not resist taking a picture of our foster Strawberry with the berries we just picked. She arrived in WI from Alabama June 13th and came to our house on the 16th. So that is almost three weeks she has lived here. She was spayed on the 29th and seems to be doing very well after that. Wants to wrestle and run with my dogs but has to wait her 10 days per the vet. One thing we have noticed is she does not mind the fireworks in the neighborhood while our three are in various stages of worry. She is quite mellow overall and enjoys just laying around outside. She still fusses when walking and another dog is coming. Funny though I took her along with one of our dogs to the vet and there she greeted a strange dog with a wagging tail. Very friendly to people also. Need to get her into a pet store and see what she does.
