I took Skyler along with me to Petco. Love the fact dogs are welcome in the store. She enjoyed riding in the car and just laid down after a bit, she handled being in the store just fine and liked looking at the toys and live parakeets. She took two treats very politely from a lady working there and made friends with a young girl. I let the girl pet her and was holding her collar because not knowing what her response would be. No worries. Skyler crawled right into the girls lap and got loved on till I had to move along. We have only had her home three days but it seems we agree with what others who have met her have said,"she is a real sweetheart". The woman who saved her from being hit by a car at the side of the road, the shelter staff in AL, the lady who drove her part of the way up here and bathed her when arriving, the workers at the daycare she stayed at for six days before coming home to us. We all agree she is a doll. One of our neighbors even thought we should call

A new foster has arrived. Brought her here on National Dog Day August 26th. Skyler, or Sky as I will probably just say has a mellow type personality(for now), had some pups recently and nursed them it appears but now is spayed. Her coat a bit sparse but will fill in. She had no issue with meeting my three dogs or those we saw at the vet. She saw a cat walk past her about a foot away at the vets and did not react either. Friendly towards men and women. She enjoys sniffing around our fenced in yard, rode very nice and quiet in the car both crated the safe way in the back and also sitting on the passenger seat which while fun could be not so safe. I think she will be a joy to foster until she finds that forever family.  She is checking out the yard. Her I am scared of that camera look. Her tail is not curled under, she basically has a mini nub.

So the blog on Roxie sort of just stopped. No worries she found a home that suited her just fine. A perfect fit with people who were not going to stress about possible future health issues. One day at a time and enjoy each one as it comes. So who were those folks? My husband and myself! They call that foster failure. Oh well, who could resist Miss Roxie. Need a little hair trimmed from my eyes here
